My Favorite Websites
There are literally millions of websites out there, sitting in the ether waiting to be read. Most of them arent worth their zeros and ones. However, I have found a few great sites out there that I rely on for my day to day. The sites that I will mention here are those that will benefit your ability to communicate in your professional and personal life. These include tech sites for all the latest and greatest in texts and camera phones, etc.
First up is DownForEveryoneOrJustMe.com. Now why no one has thought of this before, I dont know. Having trouble accessing that favored site? Is it them or is it you? Just visit this site, type in the address of the troublesome site in question, and the internet gods will tell you whether the site is experiencing difficulties or if it is, in fact, just you.
LifeHacker just won the 2008 bloggie* for best computer or technology weblog. LifeHackers tagline touts Tech tricks, tips and downloads for getting things done and the site lives up to its claim. This site is loaded with expert tips for handy but little-known shortcuts in everything from Gmail to Windows, product reviews, and DIY techniques for the crafty computer geek.
GeekSugar is a great site for all you technophiles out there who need more cool. Like LifeHacker, there are frequent product reviews and tips for better emailing/texting/modern communicating, but GeekSugar highlights a decidedly more pop and fashion-forward vibe.
If everyones new favorite email (Gmail, cough) is also yours, check out the Gmail blog. Here you can find everything you need to make your Gmail experience fruitful, fast, and effective.
*Note: The Bloggies are a real thing. They give out awards annually to the best blogs worldwide and feature categories like Best Entertainment Blog and Best Sports Blog. If youre looking to for a new favorite website/blog, check out this years winners at 2008.bloggies.com.
