With excellent marketing plan, passion and effort and the tips below, you can have a successful menswear shop in a short period of time. If you want to open your own menswear shop then keep reading for more tips.Decide the Type of Men’s Clothing to Sell

There is a need to first decide the type of men’s clothing to sell. Just also remember that almost all clothes sold in men’s stores can range in different selections. You may choose to stock only the most exclusive sports clothing for men. Take a pick between track pants and team jerseys.

Apart from it, there are also career wear and suits that can meet the taste of even the most meticulous men. It is also good to start a clothing store that combines the different styles of men’s clothing. Try looking at the store in the area. And, make a guess if the types of stores are successful in any way. This way, a menswear shop is a good business venture decision.

Find a Reliable and Consistent Supplier

After deciding between the types of clothing to offer to clients, looking for a reliable and consistent supplier is the next best tip to consider. You have to settle with one that supplies you with the best and competitively priced merchandises. This way, you are ensured of a decent profit margin. And thus, it would be a lot easier for you to attract the attention of customers. You are on your way to closing a good deal. Back it up by the most complete and most secure financing to survive the most difficult times.Similar ArticlesSteps to Merchandise ClothingHow to Start a Polo Clothing Store

Determine the Location of the Store

Determine the location of the store for you to truly take advantage of the crowd. From this crowd is the opportunity of earning more. A good location gives you with more independence in terms of design and set-up.

Better to settle with the location and check the zoning restrictions. After doing all these things, you can now decorate the place. The types of men’s clothes to sell and the size of the selection help determine the square footage that you need.

Lease or rent a location that has a larger storage space. This way, it would be easy for your team to store the excess supply of merchandises.

Hire Employees and Develop a Business and Marketing Plan

Hire only those employees that specialize in merchandising and retail sales. Better yet, pay all your staff on a commission basis for them to concentrate further on selling all merchandise items.

Apart from hiring employees, developing a business and marketing plan is another suggested tip on starting a menswear shop. Through this plan, all your goals can be clearly outlined for your menswear shop. You can further attract all potential customers through a carefully detailed marketing plan. Other essential factors to include on your marketing plan are radio ads, local circulars, print ads and television ads.

Midas, too many of its clients, has been the place of destination if they want the best over-haul in their vehicles. Whether brakes, tires, shock absorbers, and other after-market parts– Midas has been servicing it all with great deal of accuracy.Requirements for Starting a Midas Automotive Repair Service Shop
Knowledge in running a business is a plus for first-time franchisee. However, the company does not exactly require franchisees to be a top-industry player. All you need is a liquid cash asset of $300,000 to have a deal with the company. You must also possess some knowledge in the automotive industry in order for you to standout with the competition. If you have all this characteristics, Midas is surely the best way to go around.
Franchising Start up Cost
Starting your very own Midas Automotive Service Franchise will cost from $380,000 to about $530,000. This may already include the $20,000 franchising fee required by the company during the contract signing. The company’s official website, however, failed to log whether the initial investment will cover the amount need for shop equipment, and other operational expenses. The company mentioned that financing, through legitimate banks, will be allowed.
Midas has a 20-year contract for those who will qualify in their evaluation. Every year, the company will charge investors with 10 percent royalty fee which will cover the total annual profit of your franchise. This is relatively a small amount considering the profit that you can generate in one franchise. This can also be lowered depending on the company performance.
Upon the expiration of the contract, the company offers 50 percent renewal fees to resign a contract with them. Company profile and terms of agreement is available through the Internet.
Return of Investment
It is a fast and easy way to get back your investment in one Midas Automotive franchise. Within a year, you can already acquire half of the investment allotted to the outlet, however, this may vary depending on the location of the franchise. That is why, Midas also offers its newly signed partners with a free site tours on possible spots to put up a shop.
Training and Support from Midas
Midas Automotive Service has a regional and on the spot training system for your employees. This includes advance training in automotive, pneumatics, air compression, oil change and other stuff involved in basic automotive service.
Promotions and Advertising
The company gives full support to all of its franchisees via E-mails, newsletters, and other forms of advertising. The company also utilizes the Co-op advertising where franchisees give a certain portion of their cash assets to pay for the TV, print, and Regional advertising.

Decide on your niche and choose between an indoor or outdoor course.People are always looking for entertainment and if you’re in the US, you will benefit greatly if you start your own miniature golf business. Parents and kids are always looking for ways to enjoy and so miniature gold courses can be a great alternative. Today, these places are definitely in-demand and startup costs can be around $150,000. For some businesspersons, this can be a large sum and so you can secure the needed financing just in case your capital is not enough. Always begin with the development of a sound and solid plan because you can use this to convince investors or lenders.
How to Start Your Own Miniature Golf Business?
It would be ideal if you have enough experience in playing golf. This will allow you to determine the factors that create a great game. There are many things that you need to consider like the size constraints, amenities, player backups, hazards, and the aesthetic appeal of the miniature golf course. You have to decide whether you will open an indoor or outdoor golf course. Oftentimes, the former is a better alternative since this will allow players to enjoy a game even during cold months. If this is your choice, you can lease out space inside malls, movie theaters, entertainment centers, bowling alley, or athletic clubs.
Golf is usually played in warm weather but if you want to generate income throughout the year, the indoor alternative is better. An outdoor miniature course is also good and you will need around 20,000 sq ft and you must go for a location with high visibility. You should choose a theme and make sure that the miniature golf course coincides with it in terms of natural obstacles, trees, small hills, and many others. As you design the course, you will also need to shop around for the right insurance policy for the business.
You have to choose a target market or audience and this is where you will base the theme. Maintenance of the golf course is of utmost importance. For minimal upkeep, you must use indigenous trees, plants, and hedges. Make sure that these things don’t obstruct the course. Secure the needed documents, licenses, and other paperwork that will make the business legal. This can take time so you must apply in advance. Purchase the needed equipment, tools, and supplies. Be sure to create rules that should be observed by your staffs and the golfers while playing in the area. You must have start with the advertisements long before the opening to enhance the market visibility of the business.

Address all the aspects of the business and start your operations. Good luck.Today, you can find many makeup products in the market. If you’re planning to start your own makeup line, you have to ensure that you’re offering unique and high quality products. Despite the stringent competition in the market, there is still room for newbies. Customers are always in search for items that provide the best results. You can be at an advantage if you stick with beneficial and healthy natural ingredients. You don’t have to open a large corporation like your competitors. In fact, it is possible to open a small business that focus on a certain niche.
How to Start a Makeup Line?
Make sure that your business can meet a certain need in the market. Instead of offering a makeup line for the general users, you can focus on items that are ideal for oily or sun-damaged skin. Another example is to focus on women aged forty and older. You have to learn the basics of creating makeup. You can use the internet to conduct a thorough research online. You have to determine the ingredients that are best used to develop a new makeup line like herbal or fruit extracts, essential oil, and other special formulas. After that, you have to decide on an attractive packaging or container for the makeup.
Will you sell the makeup for retail or wholesale? You can focus on the latter since this will allow you to earn greater profits. You can sell your new line of makeup in local stores. With this type of business, you will need to consult with FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to ensure that you’re meeting up with their regulations or standards. There are special permits and licenses that you need to obtain. You can consult with the city or county office that regulates this type of business.
Finding an ideal location is very important. Since you will be in the production or manufacturing industry, you should comply with the local zoning requirements. Purchase the needed equipment, tools, and supplies to make quality makeup products. Hire employees and get the right business insurance. With the right business structure, you are sure to avoid potential liabilities. The business plan can guide you, so be sure to work on your plan in advance. Determine the best advertising methods that you can use. You will need business cards and brochures to show the various makeup items you’re offering. Create a business site and upload photos of the makeup together with details. Set the launching date of your business and welcome customers.

I prefer working in independent garages because the quality of work is much greater vs the flat rate warranty technician who is forced to cut corners just to make his hours for the week (due to warranty pay rate of the manufacture which pays the tech about 40% of what he should get paid). as for owning your garage (which i do not, but as far my knowledge on this topic is…), its all about location, advertising, return customers, fleets, and being firm with your pricing… you dont want to attract cheap customers, who would prefer if a monkey could perform the work on their vehicle if it will bring down the price… good luck everyone, its a tough market with very skeptical customers… be honest, explain things in english for the customer to understand, do not guess, be up to date, focus on your strengths and dont waste time on your weaknesses (for instance, if a mercedes comes in with manufacturer specific diagnostic codes which your scanner cannot retrieve, do not spend all day aiming blindly on fixing the problem, the customer will not want to waste his time and money with no outcome… simply explain that mercedes equipment is necessary for this particular problem. he will respect your honesty which will make him more than happy to come to your establishment for further inspections and work)Skooter said on November 4, 2009Your right Basil, the people who are writing this does not seem like they have any experience at all. I have my own shop and I make good money but I also spend a lot of money, all I have to say to everybody else is to be honest pick another trade to get into because the responsibility is to much for the pay. and b4 long machines will be doing the work on the cars since everything is going high-tech and electric…For those who still want to pursue this trade my advice is not to listen to people you dont know anything about and go to shop owners and managers that license in what they do…and it really dont take a lot of stuff to get your own shop up and going…but it is better for business to (Automotive Service Excellence)ASE Blue Seal, all the tools and they are not cheap, money to back up the mess-ups, employees that are ASE certifies(dont hire them just because they are friends or family because they can cost you money and your shop), and make sure you still have time for your family…But you still have to abide by all the rules of the state, county, and city you live in…And just because you get your business running by yourself dont mean you can’t get shutdown by someone like OSHA because they will rip your wallet right out of your pocket…GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE… P.S.-FIND ANOTHER TRADE!!!Dinesh.B said on December 5, 2009i am looking for good investing partner for starting an workshop in chennai anyone interested can get in touch with me. i have over 15 years experience in this field.Joe R. said on December 15, 2009Who is the author of this? A well established (almost 20 years) gas station, c-store, espresso shoppe, with two service bays are waiting for you! Contact me for more information.James said on August 6, 2010Look guys first of all…wanna own your own shop? well better start looking for land to build one because if you find one that is going out of business or one that is already for sale likely story is that the business was in a poor location. The cost of building just a standard to port garage is $25.00-$45.00/sq. ft. (depending on your area) You could always go the Cheap route and go with an estimate of around $7900 w/ foundation and $3500/ labor. but never go the cheap route if you are wanting this to be life long. Look long story short. you need to build up your money first. So Go work in another shop. Dont just jump right into owning your own. Work in someone else’s to build up the money for your own and you will learn everything you need to know through time. We cant just tell you what you need to know and u can be successful it doesnt work that way. It takes practice. I own my own mechanic shop for personal use. (It’s connected to my showroom) I build model cars and sometimes I’ll take some customers that need help on theres and just charge like 100 for mechanical and 150 for electrical work (gotta get friend to help with electrical, I’m not so good at it). But bottom line is get a job in a shop to learn the ropes. and for you 13 and 14 year old kids. when you turn 16 or 17 go get a job at jiffy lube or Mineke or something like that its a great way to start out learning.MarissaCisneros said on August 9, 2010Yes, i’m a female but i’m interested in Being a mechanic i want too be an independent woman and Own my own business Shop i need help on how to start it..Any suggestions.? Please help us. lake countyDaily Joe said on January 5, 2011This article is very interesting to read. First off in these times it is very hard to start anything (business wise). This country has backed it self into a corner and cannot get itself out of it. Now as far as a muffler and brake shop business goes be prepared to take a nose dive in to the sand. The auto industry is changing very rapidly and now economy vehicles are all the rage. Who can fix them? Only the dealers can do that kind of work. Maintenance? Hmmm well stuff lasts for forever now. Smell where I am going. If you have the drive go after it. I can remember back in the early 80’s and 90’s anything with a muffler and brake shop would of made HUGE MONEY, believe me I knew a guy who owned one that started with nothing. Now I think his shops are struggling and possibly may be closing. In the auto industry business TIMING is everything coupled with a bit of luck. If you are in a position to start a business then go for it. In these days business opportunity is very hard if not impossible. To maintain a business and pay your employees and also provide a decent income and retirement for yourself is hard.Jake said on January 5, 2011@ Layne: First off, let me say kudo’s for your savvy of knowing what you want at such an early age. Now, a couple of questions. Are you looking to open a “Performance” Shop because (A) you have a skill and passion for it? Or (B) because you enjoy being around it and would like to own a business? My name is Jake. My partner and I own BSM Performance in Honolulu, Hawaii.
If your answer was B, go to business school, get a job managing an automotive shop and then eventually buy a shop and hire experienced mechanics to wrench for you while you spend your time marketing your service and managing your margins.
If your answer was (A) my suggestion would be to have about $150K in liquidity. $50k – $85K to purchase a dynomometer, unless you can work a out a deal to rent dyno time from another shop. Keep in mind that shops that have dynomometers will most likely be direct competitors. You will also need to buy quality tools and a scanner. You will need tuning software. The price depends on the platform you are tuning. And of course you will need to have a place to work on your vehicles, preferably with lifts. Once you are set up, you will need to market your service. The easiest way to do so in the Performance Industry is to build a car, drive down to your local track and start spanking guys on the 1/4 mile or whatever sort of race you prefer. Street Credit goes a lot further than an advertisement in the performance world. If you have any other questions, post your email and I will do my best to answer. Good Luck!
@ Everyone except a select few like #16 Basil (awesome post): I think a lot of the contributors to this thread are forgetting one major piece to owning and operating a successful automotive / mechanic business, and that is, that it IS a BUSINESS. My mother is a fantastic baker, but she would go bankrupt if she were to open a Bake Shop because she has no business sense. My point is that just because you have a passion or skill for fixing cars, doesn’t mean that your business will be successful. And if you believe anything from the article above, well then I’ve got some oceanfront property to sell you…… in Kansas.Mannax said on January 18, 2011for all of you, we do not need any license to open a mechanic shop. just open it and use good tools and do consider care of health and safety of your staff and customers and hazardous material disposal stuff.ed said on January 23, 2011hi i live in marshall wi 53559 what i was thinking about was a shade tree garage where the the customer rents the stall and tools and does his own work or for certain price i would to the work i seen this in the service what lic would be needed and any info on how to start this up here.Elaine said on January 29, 2011Does anyone starting up their own mechanic shop or anyone doing an apprentice as a mechanic, interested in obtaining a car for “practical learning”. Next, you must have money for equipment…lifts,ac machine, brake lath ,scanner, tire machine…etc. All these are require for a small shop. To open a small shop you are looking at over 100,000 easily in equipment…The best way to get experience is to work in an actual automotive repair shop to see if it is right for you.Tom stereopoulos said on March 25, 2011People have no idea that there are people who will come to ask you to fix the car and they dont pay i had a friend that i hanged out at his shop and he had lots of fights with people with expensive cars that wanted there repair at half cost after it was fixed or not at all a lot of them said i’m not paying you did a bad job and they called police and etc what i would say is forget about the idea in a recession this is got to be much worse i saw this happening in good ole days when people had money and credit think of it now !! what i suggest is you look at GRANDIZER CASH … google those two words i was on the street and living in my car and i had Sneaky ideas and method’s that helped me out the info i have is in two pages you dont need a book … and also you will need a safety deposit BOX at the bank and you will know why .. I am from England, UK. I have been working as a mechanic & vehicle tester for 8 years and fully qualified. I work on behalf of Ministry Of Transport and I test vehicles for road worthiness so I either pass or fail them. It is a legal requirement to test all vehicles every year for safety. Anyway to open a business here in England, first you need strong determination and a business plan drawn up by you, it has all the information about your business such as location, size of premises, rent & rates, your propose market, services your providing, pricing policies, sales forecast, cash flow, number of employees, tools & equipment, insurance, your experience & qualification and many more etc. Then you need lots of money. If you have saved up enough money or are a rich man’s son, then you have no problem otherwise you need to see your bank manager with your business plan and if he is convinced that the business plan seems plausible then he will offer an amount of money depending on how much you put upfront otherwise it’s a nasty reject! It all depends on how big you want to go. You can either buy or rent premises. All these tools & equipment will definitely run into thousands of pounds! You can either buy or lease equipment such as car lifts, dynamo, emission tester, EOBD scanner, tyre changer, air compressor s, etc. Then you got all the legal side such as government taxes, accountant, waste management, traders & liability insurance, etc. So basically to open a modern vehicle repair centre, you would need between £25,000 to 100,000 or maybe more depending on how big you want to go and if you’re buying or lease/renting! There is a hell lot to it and it isn’t easy and don’t forget the long hours especially when you start up. Goodluck…Matty1994 said on April 29, 2011i’m matt i’m 17 i’m in australia i have my full mechanics qualification and half a panelbeating spray painting trade while i was doing my mechanics for 4 yrs i was doing night school in panelbeating and spray painting i’ve worked in panelbeating shops and that Best advice i can give is give it ya best nothing impossible to the young lads up the top of this i think they might get laughed at being 14 if they had there own mechanic shop but what someone said about work on neighbors cars and that they are right atm i’m having a yr off work yet i always have people phoning me up can u rebuild my motor and what not my mates commodore broke down hes into cars i just told him its not rocket science observe and listen but tbh honest i have had enough of working for 23 dollars an hour so i’m going to uni to become a mechanical engineer just for the callange i spent 4 yrs building race cars dyno runs working on wide range of cars fabricating exausts the lot doesnt take much to pick up on if ur really interested and u always have ya side project ok how can i get over 1000bhp then u get a next project car how can i build this to beat my last and so on u loose money and u make money its life but the main thing is to enjoy it while you can … but yea GOODLUCK TO ALL theres good money in the high performance area but think high set ya goals and stick to it :)DirtyD beginner adviser said on May 17, 2011I came on here looking for advice to start an actual shop. To those who are trying to start up a mobile mechanic business, tread lightly. It takes a substantial amount start up capital, you have to be insured, and you have to obtain the licenses to practice business in the areas you will be working in. Just like starting any business field, understanding your preferred career is a must. No businessman has ever experienced great success without familiarity of the job.If you are planning to start building your own literary agency, you need to know its accurate procedures and daily operations. For new businessmen who are hoping to build their dreams with a literary agency, here are some tips that you need to follow:
Procedures in Starting
Some people claim that establishing a literary agency may be too hard. This may often be heard, especially from those novice businessmen who are not aware of its daily operations and procedures. If you are planning to have this business, you need to check first the legal requirements for your community. Then, take time to decide on a business name. You also need to file papers in case you are planning to incorporate. As a part of its process, it is a must to design a logo of your company. Getting a software program to layout your books is also needed.
Tips in Achieving Great Success
A literary agency may be small with only one agent or large, having a dozen of agents. Whatever type of literary agency you prefer, it requires a lot of experience, hard work and firmness to build a company that has a good reputation. You also need to be a strong leader, particularly if you have multiple agents. It is also best to be optimistic no matter what you do. With your knowledge and self-confidence, it would be easy for you to compete and be successful.
Handling Your Literary Agents
If you are planning to establish a literary agency, take time to examine your agents. Every agent has distinct attitudes and perspectives. Some of them are good, while others are not. If you opt to hire a literary agent, make sure that you trust them and understand all your company policies. With a smooth relationship with your agents, expect that everything will go in order.
Benefits of Getting Involved with a Literary Agency
Owning a literary agency can bring a new phase to your life. With accurate handling of your company, you can be famous not only in the local area, but throughout the world. The only key in achieving your success is hard work. It doesn’t include too much capital like other business opportunities. As long as you are making the right decision for your business, you can make it as what you have expected it to happen. Just make sure that you are focusing on your job and subordinates as well.

Joint companies tend to be more powerful because the strengths of the companies are now combined.Starting Your Own Joint Stock Company
More and more companies these days are joining forces to be able to keep up with the tough competition in the market. Perhaps you’ve already heard about mergers and acquisitions especially among big companies. When starting a joint stock company, you will need to prepare for the incorporation. The new company should be registered with the ROC or registrar of companies. After this, you will now receive your certificate of incorporation. A company should be a legal entity for clients to trust it.
During registration, there are documents that you need to submit like Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association, and the agreement for the appointment of the manager or director, and the statutory declaration. Since you’re going to start a new stock company, you will have to pick the location. Analyze the locations of both companies and choose the ideal one. If the offices are not properly located, you will need to find a new location for the joint stock company. A central location is good where there is lot of foot traffic and easily accessible. Design the company office properly and buy the needed furniture and fixtures.
Other Matters
Before the launching of the joint stock company, you should apply for the utilities, phone lines, and the internet. All equipments should be purchased as well. You can hire an interior designer or you can design the office on your own. Choose a design that’s attractive and professional since yours is a stock company. The company should also review the employee’s performance to determine which ones to retain or to layoff. The company’s staffs should be competent and reliable to help the company in achieving success. Even if the companies already have business plans, you will need to create a new one since you’re starting out as a new company.
The changes in the business plan should be carefully incorporated to suit the needs of the joint stock company. With the business license, you can easily attract potential clients. Make everything legal and from the point of incorporation, both companies should have lawyers so that their requirements are met. Preventing potential problems in the future is vital and with a good plan of action, the company will become stronger. Joint companies tend to be more powerful because the strengths of the companies are now combined. Only the best of the best is used to their advantage. The industry is quite competitive and with joint forces, any company can earn greater profits.

What are the short term and long term goals you have to set up for your own knitting shop? Are you looking for some easy steps to follow while setting up your knitting shop business?

Here are some guidelines to get your first step into a knitting shop business. Do you find it easy to knit and crochet designs? Have you always been praised for the beautiful designs that you have produced for local sales? Are there many people always asking you where you got your patterns from and then requesting you to start a knitting class? If you are good at knitting and want to do it full time then it is a good idea to think about starting a knitting business. Here are a few things you can try to set up your own knitting shop.
Determine your strong points to starting a knitting shop: Are you good at a specific type of design? Can you afford to have a separate place as an office? How much yarn will you need as stock? As most of these question deal with finance it is also a good idea to consider how much you are willing to spend on your initial investments. For people who are on a tight budget, consider starting the knitting shop from a spare room of your home itself. You can also consider starting a knitting or crafts class for ladies who are interested or for the neighborhood children. This way you get a little initial funding money to add to your budget.
Start knitting: If you have a little yarn then in your spare time get going on different and unusual projects which will catch peoples attention. Make sure you wear your creations well and gift a few to close relatives and friends. You can also consider sponsoring local functions with your knitting projects as gifts and keepsakes.
Keep a fresh eye: keep a fresh stock of interesting yarn and make really interesting project with them .Make sure you show your oldest customers the newest projects as they are more likely to snap up newer projects they like. Offer to customize all projects for customers according to needs and occasions.
Pattern designing: It’s a good idea to have your own designs as you can really get good order for innovative products. For example a woman on the internet innovated brand new crotchet patterns for the aliens on the popular BBC mini series Dr. Who and she’s got a book deal for her efforts! All you have to do is use your imagination for better designs and then sell them online on a good website.
Keep your pricing right: quite a few beginners under price their products in an effort to draw customers. As a result you will have to face considerable loss. It’s a better idea to stick to a reasonable price in the beginning. Customers recognize quality and will be back if they like you.
