Chaff Cutter Product Advertising Promotions | Chaff Cutter Product Advertising Promotions consultant

The advances in technology are closing the gap between small and large advertising firms and the geographic reach of the larger agencies is not as important as it used to be. Despite these advances, large agencies and Chaff Cutter Product Advertising Promotions with higher bills to pay, are still charging much more money than their smaller rivals.

So, what does working with a boutique agency mean? It means working with an agency who consistently adapts their methodology to fit the needs for each specific project or client. It means working with an agency who works hard to stay ahead of innovation, who maximizes their resources and actually listens to what you need versus telling you what their time-tested methodologies have proven. It means to accept the new Darwinism, for the large agencies are no longer the fittest.

How Can We Help You Grow
A strategic marketing expressed through powerful advertising can do more than simply help you stand out from competitors. It can help you break away entirely. Increasingly, we see winning companies transforming their lead into a full speed of brand driven “mind share momentum” that leaves runner-up in the dust.

We work with you to understand your top line short and long term strategic objectives. The investment you make in creating or enhancing your brand and the creative ideas firing your marketing materials should help you to create value and achieve corporate goals.

Even The Sky Is No Limit
So you want to be noticed. You want to turn heads in your direction, you want the double take .

To do this you need to create a “nice surprise”, a way of getting attention and giving rewards to the attentive.

How can we help you get your message across?

Not by giving you what you want. But by giving you something you never expected. And, of course, it will be what you needed all along.

The Impact Of Engagement

I did door-to-door sales for nine years, in hundreds of different cities and towns all across the india. Through long, hard, agonizing trial and error, I eventually developed enough skill that I could take any product into any area on any day and make sales.

In the beginning, I struggled. But when I was about to give up on myself and quit (like 99.9% of people that try door-to-door sales do within their first few days),  experienced salesperson to give me a chance to get on track.

What I saw that day changed my life forever.

I watched as the experienced salesperson drove to an area where he had previous sales success, and listened as he explained to me why he parked his car in the exact spot he did to start his day and laid out his exact plan of attack.
Within the first 10 minutes, I learned a valuable lesson that not only made my door-to-door sales career much easier, but has also been the key to bringing in millions of dollars in revenue for my own companies, and those of thousands of others I’ve consulted to:

A current customer is the easiest person to make a sale to – many, many times easier (and less expensive) than trying to get new customers.

Most business owners operate a risky, day-to-day, transactional business, believing that the reason for getting a customer is to make a sale. That’s their biggest problem: making nothing more than “a” sale to a customer. After that initial transaction, they simply hope that their product or service or location is good enough that they will get a repeat visit from that customer.

On the other hand, sharp business owners (and door-to-door salespeople!) know that the point to making a sale is to get a customer. We have systems put together to maximize the value of that customer by making future offers to them, so that they buy more of the same product or service, or a different version, or even an entirely different product or service.

In other words, we recognize that a current customer is the easiest person to sell to, and a prospect is the hardest and most-expensive person to sell to. Therefore, we concentrate on maximizing the value of every new customer we get.

If you want to grow your business during these challenging economic times (and even during boom times), your time and effort should be invested in working to turn prospects into customers and retain them to market to in the future.
While your marketing is doing its job to get you prospects, you need to be working on turning those prospects into customers. There are a few key ways to draw them in and seal the deal. You need to be:

Inviting
Informative
Enjoyable

The biggest fear of most new customers is the dreaded “buyer’s remorse.” You want to minimize this as best you can, and if you’ve provided a quality product or service that delivers on the marketing claims you’ve made, the risk will be lower.

However, returns can still occur. Here are the two most effective ways to deal with this:

Offer to refund money — no questions asked
Offer a bonus they can keep even if they return the product

These offers alone will also lessen the impact of buyer’s remorse, because the customer will trust you more just because you showed the confidence in your product or service to offer these options in the first place.

There are number of other ways to turn a prospect into a customer:

Offer a special price as an opportunity for them to test the market.
Offer a lower price with a legitimate reason, such as clearing out inventory to pay a tax bill, for your kid’s braces, or another tangible reason. (Added bonus: Customers love you for doing this, because it makes you so much more human to them.)
Offer a referral incentive.
Offer a smaller, less expensive entry-level product to build trust.
Offer package deals.
Offer to charge less for their first purchase if they become a repeat customer.
Offer extra incentives, such as longer warranties or free bonuses, if they order by a certain date.
Offer financing options, if applicable.
Offer a bonus if they pay in full.
Offer special packaging or delivery.
Offer “name-your-own-price” incentives.
Offer comparative data or other comparison tools.
Offer to let them trade up or upgrade to something better if they want.
Offer additional, educational information to help them make the decision.

The options are really only limited by your imagination and marketing skill. You can use these or other ideas to discover what works the best for your specific business, with your specific products, services and target market.

Even if you ever find yourself doing door-to-door sales.

Webcast Recap: Becoming a Sales “Triple Threat”

Pipeline, proposals, profits—those are the three “Triple Threat” skills areas your salespeople must excel in if you want to drive growth. To create pipeline, your reps need to defeat the status quo bias and differentiate your solutions. To deliver business proposals that pass muster with executives, you need to link your business value to your prospect’s initiatives in a way that’s CXO-relevant. And to close more profitable deals, your reps must have the skills to protect your pricing and expand the size of your deals.

In this webcast, Tim Riesterer outlines each skill area, and explores how a competency-based training model can help your team articulate value in the three critical moments where you need to make an impact to win.

Do You Think It or Do You Know It? Knowing Your Customer

Do You Think It or Do You Know It? Knowing Your Customer
Athletic events are often won or lost before the teams take the field.

Major customers are often won or lost before you even talk to them.

The reason? Information. Let’s discuss knowing your customer.

In my previous article I talked about customers, dating and marriage. Transformational Accounts (TAs)(10-20 times the size of your current average customer or 5-10% of your divisional revenue) are marriages. You get to decide whom you marry, and you can know in advance the quality of the marriage. Choose wisely (and selfishly) was the message. Your choices are deeply dependent on the accuracy of your information. Your instincts are not up to the task. I promise.

So how well do you know your prospective customer?

You can promise to put more sweat into selling than your competitors, but you’ll make a lot better decisions and make a lot more profit if you out hustle your competitors on the research side. And your research guide is your PROSPECT SCREEN. Everything you consider crucial in a TA needs to be posed as a question in your PROSPECT SCREEN so you can research it.

We tend to quit researching way too easily. The good news is so, do our competitors.

Tom Searcy often said to me when we were developing my business “Do you think it or do you know it”. It toughened my resolve.

Succeeding in research starts with a belief that you CAN know it. I challenge my clients and I am often met with “I just don’t know how we’d ever find that information”. And so they don’t, if they give in to that (often understandable) posture. But I don’t quit on the challenge. Most of the time we find a way. We get the information.

Tom wanted me to know total revenues for each of the 75,000 North American HVAC contractors in my database. Guess what? They are the only ones who know, and they won’t tell me that number. What are you going to do? First, continue to believe there is a way to find what you need. I live by the notion that if it isn’t impossible then there must be a way. I love to find it. I can call any HVAC contractor and they will proudly tell me how many service trucks they have. I know that to keep two workers and a truck viable you have to do $250,000 annual revenue. You can’t be profitable on less and you can’t really produce too much more. If the contractor tells me they have 12 trucks I know he has a $3 million dollar business. We updated the number of trucks into our database every time we contacted them.

Company websites will tell you where they have facilities. Online searches can answer so many questions (but verify). Counting the cars in a parking lot of a factory can tell you how many employees are there. And your Executive Sponsors need for you to have all the right information in order to serve their company well.

It all starts with taking on the challenge: I will make better decisions with KNOWING the information I seek on my Prospect Screen, and I’m not giving in until I get it. I am going to out work my competitors by learning more about my prospective customers.

Be ready to ask your organization “Do you know it or do you think it?” Provide a safe environment where they can say, “well, actually I just think it”. Then lead them and encourage them to get creative. Let them know they can KNOW it.

A Passion for KNOWING is a moneymaker.

Brand Identity – Definition and Concept

Brand identity stems from an organization, i.e., an organization is responsible for creating a distinguished product with unique characteristics. It is how an organization seeks to identify itself. It represents how an organization wants to be perceived in the market. An organization communicates its identity to the consumers through its branding and marketing strategies. A brand is unique due to its identity. Brand identity includes following elements – Brand vision, brand culture, positioning, personality, relationships, and presentations.

Brand identity is a bundle of mental and functional associations with the brand. Associations are not “reasons-to-buy” but provide familiarity and differentiation that’s not replicable getting it. These associations can include signature tune(for example – Britannia “ting-ting-ta-ding”), trademark colours (for example – Blue colour with Pepsi), logo (for example – Nike), tagline (for example – Apple’s tagline is “Think different”),etc.

Brand identity is the total proposal/promise that an organization makes to consumers. The brand can be perceived as a product, a personality, a set of values, and a position it occupies in consumer’s minds. Brand identity is all that an organization wants the brand to be considered as. It is a feature linked with a specific company, product, service or individual. It is a way of externally expressing a brand to the world.

Brand identity is the noticeable elements of a brand (for instance – Trademark colour, logo, name, symbol) that identify and differentiates a brand in target audience mind. It is a crucial means to grow your company’s brand.

Brand identity is the aggregation of what all you (i.e. an organization) do. It is an organizations mission, personality, promise to the consumers and competitive advantages. It includes the thinking, feelings and expectations of the target market/consumers. It is a means of identifying and distinguishing an organization from another. An organization having unique brand identity have improved brand awareness, motivated team of employees who feel proud working in a well branded organization, active buyers, and corporate style. Brand identity leads to brand loyalty, brand preference, high credibility, good prices and good financial returns. It helps the organization to express to the customers and the target market the kind of organization it is. It assures the customers again that you are who you say you are. It establishes an immediate connection between the organization and consumers. Brand identity should be sustainable. It is crucial so that the consumers instantly correlate with your product/service.

Brand identity should be futuristic, i.e, it should reveal the associations aspired for the brand. It should reflect the durable qualities of a brand. Brand identity is a basic means of consumer recognition and represents the brand’s distinction from it’s competitors.

Sales Managers: How to Provide for Your Team Members on a Shoe String Budget

Over at “eyes on sales” colleague Paul McCord, gives some real practical advise on how Sales Managers can still provide for their Team Members even, if in an attempt to lower cost of sales, their budgets have been cut to the bare minimum.

These days, using budget cuts is no longer an excuse for not helping upgrading the talent in your team . As Paul points out, there are free training resources in abundance available be it on the net or in form of books and articles. I personally find the iTunes Store a very useful source for inspiring podcasts. It is just amazing what resources you can download for free from there.

Using this material in sales meetings seems just such an obvious option. The team members don’t even have to set aside reading time to prepare for the training part of the meeting. They can use unproductive time (e.g. traveling to and from work) to listen to these sometimes excellent materials. If carefully selected, there is material available that could be recommended as a refresher to be listen to on the way to the customer.

Sales Managers hardly need to worry about the cost of providing iPods or other MP3 type readers to their teams. Chances are that their salespeople own already one or more of those devices. Marketing departments love them as vehicle to broadcast their messages.

Although acquiring the know how is made easy, putting it into use is another matter. Here is where sales managers can provide added value by helping their teams to practice on the newly gained knowledge in a save environment, before trying it out with real customers.

Granted, it takes sales manager’s time to find these and other resources like blogs, articles and books and then make a suitable selection for the team. As a sales manager ,you could thus also take the attitude, as it is so easy, let your salespeople can find these resources by themselves. The risk you run with this attitude is that everybody might pick a different source best fitting with their individual preferences. You will end up with an organization operating what CSO Insights call an organization with a Random Process. I recommend you consult their “Sales Performance Optimization 2009 Survey Results and Analysis” where you will learn that this approach might cause you sleepless nights.

Since last week, sales managers have now an new resource at their fingertip helping them to develop their people on a show string budget. Top Sales Experts 2.0 (TSE) have opened their door last week. On this site some 60 well renowned sale experts from around the globe offer a repository of their articles they have written. You will find also a library of ‘How to guides’. Podcasts etc. There is also one place to go to consult their Blogs. By clicking here you can subscribe to this resource at a preferential early bird rate.

Full disclosure: I am proud to be a member of TSE.

Face to Face Marketing and Door to Door Marketing

Nothing beats the reality that one gets when you can interact with potential clients face to face physically moving from door to door within a community or household to household, face to face field marketing is also called personal selling or door to door marketing, customers are met directly in order to sell their products, using this method of field marketing we rely on our skills and persuasive abilities. During the period where we get to interact with the client face to face we get more chance to pass across edible information which would be useful to all our customers at that time and it’s also an opportunity for us to get feedback and to gauge your opinion about our business.

Marketing

All for-profit businesses have a product or service to sell. Businesses exist to make sales.

All for-profit businesses have a product or service to sell. Businesses exist to make sales. The sales management process monitors and measures each staff member’s ability to either support sales or do the actual selling to customers. An effective sales management strategy includes setting goals, providing sales support and training, creating or updating the sales strategy, and monitoring results. You can easily avoid the sales peaks and troughs experienced by mediocre companies by building an individual selling system that will guarantee you results.

Goals

Without clearly defined goals, measured over a specific time frame, you will achieve very little. When setting your goals consider your income, lifestyle and requirements. First aim to improve your last years’ income by a specific amount, or, if you are new to sales, aim to achieve as close to the top sales person in your team as you can.

Prospecting

The level of success achieved by salespeople will always be determined by the number of customers generated, that is other than floor traffic or telephone enquiries generated by your advertising. Put a system in place to regularly find new customers from referrals, past customers etc. Build up your database of loyal customers that you can sell time after time.

Qualifying

Qualifying is the factor which has the greatest impact on the management of your time. You have to become skilled in sorting prospects. The greatest stress in your career will come from working with unqualified prospects, be it someone who refuses to buy at a fantastic price or someone who is not ready, willing and able to buy at all.

The Sales Process

The key to a successful sale is the ability to build rapport and trust with each customer. Meet, greet and build rapport, settle them on a model, garment or product to demonstrate. All the time check by asking trial closing questions, then ask for their business. Remember to sell the benefits of your product speaking in their own linguistic modality. For example talking to an auditory person about a car engine you would say. “Listen to that engine, doesn’t it sound great?”… or to a visual person your could say, “You see how smooth that engine is”…

10 Reasons Why Money Isn’t Everything But Travel Incentives Comes Real Close

[siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]
  1. Because of its high perceived value, a travel incentive can cost less than money or merchandise.
  2. Travel rewards are more glamorous to promote than cash rebates or other sales promotions.
  3. Cash is easy come, easy go.  It’s spent on mundane necessities.  Travel is memorable.
  4. Competitors can quickly match rebates and other promotion methods.  However, travel incentives are custom-designed exclusively for your company.
  5. Travel incentives represent a chance for hard-working individuals to be rewarded with priceless life-long memories.
  6. A travel incentive is an unforgettable experience that communicates and enhances your company’s image.
  7. Everyone benefits from some time away. Rewarding your staff with a travel experience will help to relieve stress, boost confidence and reignite their creativity.
  8. Incentive travel can be tailored to suit every budget, making travel a practical reward option for small and large businesses alike.
  9. Forge stronger team dynamics. The thrilling adventures and shared experiences of a fantastic trip will hone and develop positive team dynamics.
  10. Foster employee loyalty and dedication. A great travel incentive rewards system will ensure your employees feel appreciated.

13 Expert Insights About Brand Experience

[siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]

What happens when you bring together three dynamic marketers for an exclusive deep dive into the impact of today on tomorrow’s vision and the future of brand experience?

You get an event with the potential to transform how brand marketers navigate the future of their industry.

CEMA partnered with FreemanXP to bring this to life with a powerhouse panel that included Hope Stone, Manager of Event Operations and Sponsorships, Atlassian; Jeanne Robb, Director of Global Corporate Events, Cisco; and Lenny Heymann Former EVP, UBM TechWeb.

Collectively, the three panelists have over 50 years of experience in events and technology, making the panel a must-see for marketers looking to grow sponsorship revenue, enhance digital activations, and amplify brand experience.

During the recent event in San Francisco, these industry leaders shared their perspective on what they experience, what challenges they face, and what excites them.

1. Events are no longer just a moment in time. “We’re looking at giving a north star approach to some of our bigger events,” says Robb. “We’re making them more of a year-round program to continue that conversation.”

2. Culture plays a big part. “Our events are also about the company as a whole,” says Stone. “So when you come to our events, you’re not just getting content about our products and tools and practices, but you’re getting to know who we are. We’re really trying to emulate our culture into our events.”

3. Be where your audience is. It’s more effective to communicate with the tools your audience already uses, rather than trying to force them into new mediums. “We work with a broad range of industries,” states Heymann. “In the medical space, print still matters. In Asia, particularly with our shows in China, WhatsApp is how we communicate and build relationships.”

4. Community counts. Stone notes that Atlassian already has a highly engaged community. Because the user program started organically with customers, they worked with that instead of building something new and trying to draw the crowd over.

5. Bring people together online before the event. When Cisco was getting ready for a product launch, Robb and her team had people log on to Spark (a Slack-like chat platform) after signing up. This created buzz and conversation before, during, and after the event.

6. Listen to newcomers. Prior to this same event, Cisco created a special Spark room for newcomers, monitored by the team. This gave newcomers a welcoming space in which to ask questions, and it also gave Cisco a wealth of information about this audience’s needs, which ended up shaping the event program.

7. Keep it local. It’s important to let different regions have the power to modify campaigns and events for their own audiences, says Robb. “Our brand team is a global function, but if we hand China or Finland a campaign and tell them to do a direct translation, it might not work out as well as we thought. So, now it’s up to the region to say whether or not the campaign makes sense for them and to modify it as needed while still staying visually consistent with the brand.”

8. Let your vendors show off. In the tech space, exhibitors have amazing new tools that they’re itching to show off, and giving them the space and ability to do so helps make the entire event more memorable. “One vendor was showcasing this whole virtual world. You weren’t just standing still with a headset, but were made to walk a plank and between the movement and the scenery. You got to really experience it,” remembers Robb.

9. Prioritize smart choices. With larger companies, the team leading the event may not have as much say on budget as they’d like. Heymann claims, “Most of the budget, when you look at it as an event leader, is out of your control. So you have to make some really tough choices, get smarter, and select the choices that will make a real difference.”

10. Data is king. “If we’re doing something, whether it’s technology-based or even a customer story, it has to mean something,” asserts Stone. “Things can’t just be there randomly.” Robb agrees, saying that everything is data driven, and if there’s no data behind an idea, it’ll be a tough sell to decision-makers.

11. But, you need a data analyst. A company can gather up reams of data before, during, and after an event. But what then? Creating a clear track from event marketing to sales to customer service can be difficult, especially once the data hits multiple touchpoints. Stone recommends having a data analyst in the group; a person or team who can liaise between IT, Marketing, Sales, and the C-Suite, and who can turn spreadsheets of data into clear, identifiable, actionable information.

12. Use measurement to understand customers. Heymann and the team at UBM understand the importance of understanding their audience. Whether it’s post-show surveys and NPS scores or working with other event professionals, they’re approaching event measurement from all angles to get a better read on their audience and create personas.

13. The answer? Strategy: With tight budgets, an ever-present need to raise the bar, and reams of data to handle, event teams are being asked to do more than ever before, but often without the resources to match. All three panelists emphasized the importance of creating a strategy and making sure that activations and investments are scalable, repeatable, reusable, and justified by solid research into the potential ROI. That way, they can do the most with what they have, creating memorable brand experiences every time.

Develop Marketing Plan Small Business

[siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]

How do you get started with a marketing plan for a small business?

First, know your audience or “target market” and understand their needs.Second, position yourself to meet those needs with a solution-oriented marketing plan.Decide on how you’ll connect to customers and begin developing your brand.

What is the best way to learn your audience or “target market”?

You must conduct market research: both primary and secondary research.Primary research is research you do yourself.  It’s a good way to learn more about your specific market. Secondary research is research such as statistics and information from other sources like libraries, Chambers of Commerce, local and federal government publications, etc.  This is best for getting a general overall view of the market or industry you’ll be operating within.

What is the best way to conduct market research?

You can conduct primary research by reaching out to current, former, or even potential customers and asking them pertinent questions about their needs via surveys, focus groups, or in-person interviews.  If your budget allows, you might consider hiring a market research firm who might conduct telephone polls and focus groups. Secondary research (the least expensive of the two) can be conducted by visiting libraries, internet searches on sites of the U.S. Census, Department of Commerce, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Small Business Administration, Chambers of Commerce, and local governments.

Once a business owner knows their target market, and how to meet their needs, what should be the next step in the development of the marketing plan?

Defining your brand and tailoring your products and services to your target audience are the next steps. This includes developing your brand’s vision, mission, and company message in ways that are meaningful to your core audience, and this includes branding your company’s insignia on logos and creating websites. Armed with what you learned from your market research, tailor your product and service offerings catalog to meet the stated needs of your target market.

With a defined brand, targeted market, and products or services ready to sell, how do I put my marketing plan into action steps?

Start by clearly stating your goals (e.g. attracting new customers, retaining old customers, encouraging repeat business).  Prioritize long and short-term goals (set time limits and stick to them). When describing how you plan to achieve your goals.  Be specific; break it down by activity (branding, promotion and sales strategy, email marketing, affiliate marketing, networking, etc.).  Create monthly and weekly sales goals and activities to execute your strategic marketing plan and achieve your revenue goals.

What is the best way to execute my action plan?

Start by reviewing your priorities and the timelines you’ve set, and address each priority in order of importance.

How can I implement a small business marketing plan on a limited budget?

Maximize your dollars spent and look for creative ways to implement marketing steps that don’t cost money (e.g. social media, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), blogging, podcasting, video blogging). When hiring someone for marketing help, use your hourly rate and time saved as the litmus test and price threshold for what you’re willing to pay.  For example, if you charge $100/Hour as a Consultant and you estimate it will take about 10 hours for you to review your customer records, could you find someone to effectively do the work for you for $1000? If so, then it’s definitely worth it to use them, since it will free up your time and you can continue running your business and servicing your customers.

If my number #1 priority is getting new customers, how can I do that?

To attract new customers, you could offer an incentive or free giveaway for them to sign-up for your newsletter (e.g. 10% off first purchase, special report, or free sample.) Then use the newsletter to keep in touch by providing helpful information and informing them on new products and services. Use a blog and/podcast series with topics of interest to your core audience. You could also begin an affiliate marketing program with a complimentary business that refers business in exchange for a commission of sales.

What are some other ways that I can creatively market to my business?

Contact the media to pitch stories about your business or your customers who have been successful using your product or service; Offer to speak for free at local speaking events (e.g. Rotary Clubs, Chambers of Commerce, Women’s groups etc.); Start a community for your core customers on Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter.

What are some of the big mistakes entrepreneurs make in small business marketing?

Be sure to track marketing efforts.  Make note of where customers learned about you and how they found you. Conduct ongoing primary market research by asking for customer feedback; Use surveys as another marketing tool in your arsenal (e.g. The MiniMarketing Survey).Be sure tooffer customers an incentive to complete surveys (e.g. Free item/service).Use feedback to help shape future marketing efforts.

Top E-Commerce Trends 2018

[siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]

Did you know that e-commerce has been around for more than 40 years? The first spam message was sent in 1978! Amazon began in 1995, during the days of dial-up and hearing “Welcome! You’ve got mail!”. Now, 65 million customers visit the Amazon website each month. Many companies now have apps that allow customers to shop from the convenience of their phones with just a few taps and swipes.

It has become clear that e-commerce is here to stay and has changed the way people shop for goods and services. E-commerce is almost a must for any business and as a business owner, you need to know – or know someone who does know – the ups, the downs, the ins and the outs of selling online. Expanding your business to operate online can drive up profits and make your product available to customers who might not ordinarily be exposed to what you have to offer.

However, simply maintaining an online store or having a form to fill out so you can contact potential customers may not be enough in this global, internet driven economy. To be successful with an ecommerce business, you need to keep your eyes on current and developing trends in the market and then put those trends to work for you. Here are the top new trends that you might want to looking to develop in 2018. Taking advantage of them will empower your business to succeed online.

Subscription Based Services are the Future

Netflix. Hulu. Amazon Prime. The Dollar Shave Club. Even Microsoft Office 365. These are all examples of subscription-based services that are on the rise. The Dollar Shave Club built a $615 million-dollar empire in just 5 years by offering razors on a month-to-month subscription. Now, subscription meal services like Hello Fresh and Freshly are on the scene for those too busy to stop by the grocery store to pick up the ingredients for dinner. Subscription services are definitely a trend that will continue to grow going forward.

Invest in Content Developers

The technique that many business owners voted as having the most probable future impact is content marketing. Many businesses are now treating content as a vital tool when it comes to engaging their e-commerce customers. From videos to targeted ads on social media apps, content marketing remains one of the brightest stars on the horizon in ecommerce search engine optimization. To bring people to your e-commerce site, you need content that is memorable, visually appealing, and personalized in nature. How to accomplish that? A good content creator appeals to customers by writing with their interests in mind.

Take Advantage of Micro-Moments

When we have a question, an outstanding 90% of people reach for their smartphone to perform the search to find the answer. This is one of those “micro-moments” that e-commerce is looking to leverage. Whether it is someone searching for a nearby store carrying a specific item, for the ingredients to a recipe, or for that baby-shower gift, or watching a how-to video by entering into this space and giving the customer the information they need, it can inspire trust in your brand.

Give Customers a Personalized Shopping Experience

Google has jumped on this by targeting ads based on people’s search history. As has Amazon, which recommends products based upon what has been searched for and purchased previously. Offering personalized goods and services can also help your business to claim a space in a market that is inundated with similar goods and services. Customers expect the same level of personalized service outside of your e-commerce website, in your external marketing efforts. This means ensuring that your promotional emails are tailored to fit your distinct customers. Create an online community around your brand can help your customers connect with your company and their fellow shoppers. Create a customized loyalty program. Use customer data to offer tailored suggestions based on that specific consumers’ wants and needs.

These trends will make an impact in e-commerce in 2018 and beyond. Putting these into place now can help ensure that your business is positioned to make 2018 one of your best years yet.
