The area has been named so after the construction firm, Lokhandwala Constructions Pvt Ltd that developed the area as well as Versova from the marshes. Connectivity
The Lokhandwala Complex is well-connected to the rest of Mumbai through the Western Express Highway, which passes by most of the western suburbs of Mumbai. The Andheri Railway Station is around 5 kilometres from here. It is a part of the western route of the Mumbai Suburban Railway Line. Trains from Andheri reach Churchgate within 33 minutes or so.
The Andheri Link Road is another connecting road for the area. The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is located 10 kilometres from here. Lokhandwala Complex is also served by the Versova, Andheri and Ghatkopar metro network.
